Summer Themed Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog, and the Summer Themed Blog Hop! If you've come from visiting Lyn at http://stampndesign.blogspot.com/ you're in the right place. If you were just looking at my blog and want to play along with our blog hopping fun, you can go to the beginning at http://craftycardgallery.blogspot.com/. This blog hop is intended to help you in the mood for summer(or for thoese of us in Australia out of the Winter blues)....I know the weather hasn't been all that helpful to many of us, so maybe crafts can help us get in the summer spirit! So sit back, and enjoy the hop.

This is my summer themed project...

A box! But not a normal box, A explosion Box! Take the lid off and this is what you get....

Here are some images of how i decorated the box when it was flat

The frames you see will have pictures added to it at a later stage, but the box is intended for photos of my family spending the day at the beach over summer. Here are some close ups.....

Each cube that was cut(I did three) was then layered and stuck on top of each other, so to see all the other images under the top one you flip it like this....
For this project I used the Fun in the Sun paper collection from Kaisercraft, Bazzill Bling and swiss dots,Quickutz shapes(too many to label!), Rub ons by Portia Craft and Sakura Gelly Roll Pens.
I had so much fun with this project and can't wait to try out some other boxes, the possibilities are endless!
If you enjoyed viewing my work please check out my other posts and also click on the adget link to the left of my blog which will take you to the cards I currently have on sale. NSD Challange #5 Scrapbuggy

Last post for today! Challange was to make a card from this sketch
Here is the card

NSD Challange #11 Scrapbuggy

Ok I skipped a few challanges LOL!....might have time to do a few more later but for now this challange. Create a card using stamps. I decided to use a digital stamp for this challange and created a gratuation card...which went to my Brother in Law. I used Billy the graduate found at Pink Cat Studio Digi Stamps.

I coloured him in with my Creative Memories pens(must invest soon in Copics I think!) and used Bo Bunny's Learning Curve paper to create the card. I cut the base card from the largest Lifestyle Craft File Folder.

NSD Challange #4 Scrapbuggy

Challange #4 was to create something from an item of "junk" that we would normally throw away in our scrapbooking stuff.

I used this DCWV Stack set cover

and created this card...The front and back of the card is the strip along the bottom. I them used a handcut semi circle from the top half strip to cover the "all about Girl stack" saying on the back of the card. I used Lifestyle Craft Nesting frame to cover the front barcode and added a Quickutz heart tag. I also used the words from the original card.

The Back of the card

NSD Challange #2 for Scrapbuggy

Challange #2 was to create a card or layout using 3 3d hamdmade flowers. I chose a card as that is what i like to make most. Using my Silhouette I cut three flowers out and layed them using a button, Rhinestone and braid for the centres. I used the Quickutz Limited Edition Special Delivery set to create the scollaped card and stiching circle, used some crossstich thread around the circle. Thanks for looking!

NSD Challange #3 for Scrapbuggy

Ok so Challange 2 is comming..just got to find my thread which is hiding in my room somewhere! Challange 3 is this... Take the sketch, which is this

and make a layout. This is my layout...

My elderst son Cooper and his friend Bria on the swings...such a cute photo!. For this layout I used DCWV Green Stack, Quickutz 2x2 Bird KS 1005(changing it a bit to match the birds on the paper) and the Quickutz bird and tree border.

Lets hope I can find that thread as for the rest of the challanges I am going to try and get them done tomorrow as it's late and i need sleep :)

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Well almost...it is on Saturday!. This is a pennant I created for the day, as a challange on Scrapbuggy.com...please hop across to the blog to see other great creations just go to this site http://scrapbuggy.blogspot.com. My project uses the new Lifestyle Craft nesing pennant(the biggest one), Quickcutz scollop border, Exclusive Quickutz Epic flower die and a Quickutz Daisy. I used up my old Creative Memories mini alphabet stickers from my stash for the words and date.

I also have another card to share today in preperation for Mother's Day,I used the 4x4 Quickutz Tea die and a few flowers and Bling from Kaisercraft. Added a rub on saying "enjoy your day" and this card is perfect for a Tea loving mum for either Mother's Day or perhaps a birthday.
